"The Crucifixion"
Jesus was crucified
on the evening of Passover in Jerusalem with two criminals crucified either
side of him. The religious leaders asked to break the legs of the crucified, in
order to speed up their death, since they didn’t want their bodies to be left
hanging on the cross during the Sabbath. When the soldiers reached Jesus, they
saw that he was already dead. In the New Testament, John describes like this:
John 19:34
“But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and at once there came out Blood and water”
John indicated
that Blood and water came out of Jesus as a result of the piercing, although it
wasn’t clear why he bothered to mention this. Today, we know that according to
physiology, when a person dies, the blood in their body separates into a clear
liquid and into red blood cells. This fact proves that that person really is
dead. John of course, had no idea why that happened because this scientific
knowledge didn’t exist in his time. He described what he saw with his own eyes.
In the Old Testament, the Prophet prophesies:
Zechariah 12:10
I will pour out
on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grave
and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will
mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over
Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.
“Composition of blood”
When blood components are separated, the WBCs and platelets form a thin layer, called the buffy coat, between the layers of plasma and RBCs.
Blood is
classified as a connective tissue and consists of two main components:
1.
Plasma,
which is a clear extracellular fluid
2.
Formed
elements, which are made up of the blood cells and platelets
The formed
elements are so named because they are enclosed in a plasma membrane and have a
definite structure and shape. All formed elements are cells except for the
platelets, which are tiny fragments of bone marrow cells.
Formed elements
are:

Erythrocytes,
also known as red blood cells (RBCs)

Leukocytes,
also known as white blood cells (WBCs)
·
Platelets
The day will
come when God will pour His Spirit on the People of Israel, and as a result of
this, the People of Israel will look at Him, and will recognize that they pierced Him.
“And then will mourn as one mourns over the death of a first born son”

were crucified with him reviled Him.

For many walk, of whom I have told you
often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of
Christ.

Is the Shedding of Blood Required for the
Forgiveness of Sins?
Matthew 26:28
This
is My Blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of
sins.
At Calvary He
shed His Blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Whosoever believes these in
their heart and confess such shall be saved. Every negative thing, sin, death
can be traced to the blood of Adam contaminated by sin. But help, life,
restoration, forgiveness, deliverance comes by the atonement and purity of the
Blood of Jesus Christ. The choice to remain in sin (Adam) or righteousness (Jesus
Christ) is absolutely in your hand and time may be running out to remain
neutral. The last Adam (Jesus Christ) has life with the precious Blood.
1 Peter 1:19
But by the
precious Blood
of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot.
Men who all
their life, were in bondage of the fear of death," which came by Adam. The
cost of human redemption is the holy and precious blood of Jesus Christ, a
ransom for many.
Accept Jesus
Christ now as your saviour and Lord and get rid of the Adamic condemnation now
and forever.
“Men who all their life lived in bondage of sin and the fear of death”
In Christ’s Day, the word Redemption was
readily understood. It meant, “to release from captivity.” The reason it was a
prevalent concept is because it related to slavery. Rome governed the First
Century world and their power controlled over six million Jews or, one-third of
their population. The word redemption applied to the means of ransoming a slave from an abusive
slave-owner. It was a “buy back” that liberated one from bondage, restored that person to their family, and
consequently brought joy.
This is what Christ’s redemption secured
for sinners. As sinners, we are slaves to its power. But our faith in Christ’s
death on the Cross purchases us back to God and frees us from the dominance of
sin. It places us back into the family of God, and grants eternal life in
Heaven.
"Thank God for redemption!"
There are many benefits that God offers to
those that are redeemed, but today I want to mention three.
Ephesians
1:7-8
In Him we have redemption through His
Blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,
that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
Rebellion and sin
distort and fragment the image of God, so
that we do not represent Him effectively. But He desires to restore us and
conform us back into His image.
“DNA of God”
Adam was a spirit
light being, made in the image of God, and originally had 3 strands of DNA (the
third strand being a strand of light, restored when we are born again). The DNA of God is His intrinsic spirit nature encoded in light.
God has 3 x 3 strands of DNA (3 for the Father, 3 for Jesus, and 3 for the Holy
Spirit), making 9 strands of light DNA.
The 9 stones which
covered Lucifer’s body reflected the 9 light strands of God’s DNA. As
light-bearer, he reflected the nature of God out into the whole universe. When
he fell, the universe was deprived of all that light. Perhaps that is why
70% of the mass of the universe is so-called ‘dark matter’.
Ezekiel 28:13
You were in Eden, the garden
of God. Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz and the
diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The Lapis lazuli, the turquoise
and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets,
Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared.
First and foremost, let me be
clear. I do NOT worship the blood. I worship the One who shed His Blood for the
forgiveness of my sins. This will not be a treatise on blood worship.
To begin, we
must go all the way back to Genesis. God created man in His own image and gave
him dominion over the earth. With that immense responsibility came a gift. Free
will Man would not be merely a marionette with God pulling the string. Instead,
man was created as a living, breathing, decision making entity.
However, with all of that, he
was still susceptible to temptation. Consequently when the serpent seduced Eve (you will become like God) before Eve and she in Eden in front of Adam, free
will allowed them to make the wrong choice. Enter sin.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25
For
the word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing. But to us who are
being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the
wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where
is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of
God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the
folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and
Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews
and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is
wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
“The Humiliation”
The half-fainting
Jesus was then untied and allowed to slump to the stone pavement, wet with his
own blood.
The Roman soldiers saw
a great joke in this provincial Jew claiming to be a king. They threw a robe
across His shoulders and placed a stick in His hand for a scepter. They still
needed a crown to make their travesty complete. Small flexible branches covered
with long thorns, commonly used for kindling fires in the charcoal braziers in
the courtyard, were plaited into the shape of a crude crown.
The crown was
pressed into his scalp and again there was copious bleeding as the thorns
pierced the very vascular tissue. After mocking Him and striking Him across the
face, the soldiers took the stick from His hand and struck Him across the head,
driving the thorns deeper into His scalp. Finally, they tired of their sadistic
sport and tore the robe from His back. The robe had already become adherent to
the clots of blood and serum in the wounds, and its removal, just as in the
careless removal of a surgical bandage, caused excruciating pain. The wounds
again began to bleed.
Jesus had not drank
since the night before, so the combination of the beatings, the crown of
thorns, and the scourging would have set into motion an irreversible process of
severe dehydration and cardio respiratory failure. All of this was done so that
the prophecies would be fulfilled:
